Who this notice is for
This notice is for parents and guardians who manage a Pete Therapy account. A shorter, child-friendly explanation is available in our children's privacy guide.
Information the service may hold
- Parent account, sign-in, consent and support information.
- A child profile, approved practice plan, activity events and parent choices needed to provide home practice.
- Voice recordings and bounded speech-processing results only when a parent has given the required consent and recording is active.
- Security, device, session, email-delivery and operational records needed to protect accounts and run the service.
- Adult waitlist details when a grown-up chooses to contact us. The waitlist must not contain child details or clinical information.
Why it is used
Information is used to provide the parent-approved practice plan, remember safe practice settings, show factual progress summaries, protect the account, deliver account-action messages, and operate and improve the service. Pete does not diagnose and must not present practice information as clinical proof.
AI and speech processing
Public accounts are designed to begin in a neutral experience. Guarded AI requires separate informed parent consent and a separate server-side release gate. A single recording cannot change the learner picture or plan. Low-confidence results remain neutral.
Service providers and transfers
Pete may use contracted hosting, storage, email, monitoring, speech and AI providers only for the service functions that are enabled. The processor list, contract terms, locations and transfer safeguards remain a human launch-review gate and will be published before public signup is enabled.
Retention and deletion
Different records have bounded retention rules based on their purpose and account cohort. The final public retention schedule and any lawful exceptions remain subject to review. Parents can start full account deletion in the app; see the account-deletion guide.
Your choices and questions
Parents can review consent, manage practice settings, request account actions, and delete the account. For access, correction, privacy or support questions, use the support page. Identity checks may be required before account information is shared.
